Workshop info: A 2.5 hour session where we will learn how to hand-build and glaze our own ceramic tiles. We will be painting on greenware (unfired clay) and using 2d and 3d modelling techniques to create as many tiles as we can in our time together.
What is a tile? A tile can be anything! It all starts with a slab of clay and some choice tools- the rest is in your hands. Together we will explore techniques to create unique art pieces that can also serve a function. I’ll show you have to apply glazes and provide design ideas for inspiration.

Cost: $75.00+HST includes enrolment for 1, clay, underglazes, studio equipment & tools, 1 bisque firing, your choice of glaze with a final glaze firing
Finished work will be ready approx. 3-4 weeks following the workshop

Hi, I'm Emily Elise! I'm a Toronto illustrator, muralist and visual artist exploring themes of surrealism, mysticism and the animism of nature. My ceramic journey began at Kitte club, and the first thing I ever made was a tile! I can't wait to share what I've learned on my ceramics journey with you!
