About Us
Kitte Club started for artists to be able to fully create
In 2024 there were not many ceramic studios around that were accepting new members who really wanted to push the envelope. Restrictions in budgets, access times, clay types, work size, glaze and firing restrictions created what is now Kitte Club. A studio focusing on artists space with freedom of experimentation and creation, community driven events, and few but thoughtful workshops and courses.
We focus on supporting those in their ceramics practice from beginners to career artists, with 24/7 access, freedom of clay choice, 12-14 rotating house glazes, large storage spaces, session bookings to secure workspaces without worry, technical help and custom firing requests with plenty of kiln furniture, community events, and so much more. Our goal is to support artists in every way we are able.
Kitte Club is a studio for ceramic artists and enthusiasts run by a ceramic artist.
Jes Young
meet our founder & operator
Jes is a non-binary educator and mixed media sculpture artist based in Toronto, Canada. Their practice investigates spaces and items of belonging inspired by infestations and common trash. Jes started Kitte Club to create an accessible artist space and programming in Toronto, where spaces to be creative and experiment have become increasingly difficult to find. Their mission for this studio is to create a welcoming space to support ceramic artists both new and experienced, build an artistic community, share knowledge, and facilitate the creation of more ceramics works in Toronto. They both operate and practice at Kitte Club.
